According to the latest SIRN newsletter, both the Lonetree Mountain (Summersville) site and the Sandyville site in Jackson Co are online.

If you live within range of one of these sites, please monitor directly (preferably with Pro96com / Unitrunker or DSDPlus) and report all relevant site details such as CC, AC, active site frequencies, neighor/peer list (including frequencies of neighbors/peers)

If you live within range of one of the neighboring sites, please use Pro96Com / Unitrunker or DSDPlus to get a list of current site neighbors/peers (and their frequencies) and report them.

If you can confirm any site online, please submit it to the DB and post your findings here.

Also, in the Feb 2018 newsletter it is mentioned that Nicholas Co is looking at putting up another site in Richwood, WV.

I wasn't quite accurate on this one. The SIRN newsletter says that Lonetree (Summersville) microwave is online but that the UHF radio equipment hasn't been installed yet because the road is in bad shape and its too risky to move the equipment in (as of March at least).

Could be online soon, or now, but it wasn't when the newsletter was put out.

Frederick Co. VA TGs

Last night I starting hearing very little traffic on TG 1815; I just figured someone was playing and on the wrong channel. This afternoon I started hearing encrypted traffic on TG 1816

Only a few hits but I had to restart Unitrunker since it was hung.

I actually heard Berkeley fire dispatch mutual aid to Frederick Co VA last week and were told to use the new channel.

Whatever 1815, 1816, 1817 and 1818 are, I have been told that they are full time encryption. Likely the only way to tell who is using them is by logging radio IDs. I wouldn't anticipate them showing up in the database simply because of inability to identify usage.

I would not be surprised if it's going to be used a lot since their radios are analog. Maybe Frederick Co VA needs to pay some money to lease the system for thier usage.

For talkgroup 1816, I heard a lot of encypted there as well. However, I did hear a unit calling "Romney", and what sounded like a WVSP dispatcher replied. Due to the encyption, I have since locked out 1816 on 2 scanners I have that don't mute it.

I can confirm a new tower online. Its listed as the Patterson Creek Tower. If anyone can run the software to obtain the info for the database that would be great. Its in Mineral County.

Marshall County Fire TAC channels

Im new to the digital scanner programming. I have had pretty good luck with everything but Marshall County Fire. Can anyone give me any ideas on what I may be doing wrong? I have downloaded the info from RR and uploaded to my scanner. WVSP and such all works well. Just the Marshall Fire I cant hear.

It's up to you guys in the area to figure out if it is online, determine what the system ID, Site ID, control channel, alt control channel, and neighbors are.
