I am guessing that the state is again playing with the state license (WPTZ793) since those frequencies are not licensed. I would guess they will get these two new sites up and adjusted then get them on a more permanent set of frequencies.

It is interesting that I have heard different Plaquemines Parish TGs on my travels to Louisiana in all sorts of odd places (Lake Charles, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, etc.) and I have yet to travel to Plaquemines since before Katrina. I see from the run above, the tradition continues into Washington Parish.

Ok upon further review what you have here is Site 216 is now what you have listed in the DB as Site 117 Wilmer. Site 215 is going to be the site listed in the DB as Site 168 Blond.

Also the current entries for sites 168(now 215) and 107 (Abita Springs) have the exact same Lat/Lon/Range data which certainly isn't right.

Since system managers have started shuffling some sites to allow for more load balancing and expansion with another master, I am going to remove sites in the DB we have carried since 2006 as "dormant." The current method of leaving them notated as such was to keep that information there if they were reactivated.

Now that individual sites are moving between master sites, much like was done when the third master site came online, and we have database-driven scanners gaining popularity, leaving these dormant sites in the DB will only lead to confusion.

These stale sites will be deleted, and any moves will be listed in the notes for the site, as a reference point if needed (such as the new BR Simulcast using the dormant Chef Hwy site).

Let me know if you have any comments or questions.

Couldn't agree more about the "dormant" sites. The DB shouldn't be full of "placeholders". If nothing else the old info could be stored in the wiki, but not real sure whether it's even worth keeping up with it there.

Looking over some stuff just now and I realized the freqs from the above 215 log are assigned to 216. Not sure how that happened, maybe I screwed up the transposing from old to new. Need to flip flop frequencies between 215 and 216 regardless.
