Is there any way to find out what talkgroups are affiliated with a certain site or tower on the ohio marcs system? In other words what talkgroups use the shelby plymouth site or the carey site or Norwalk or any other site in ohio? I know I can use ID search instead of ID scan, but I want to imput talkgroups without the time consuming search. Is There any other database or way of finding out?.Thanks.....Pat

Generally, MARCS has things set up so that talkgroups for a given county are allowed to affiliate to towers in that county and the adjacent counties. Statewide interop talkgroups can roam statewide, and each county has one or two talkgroups which can do so as well.

Forgot to add… the roaming talkgroups are only back channels that don‘t typically get a lot of use, not dispatch or other frequently-used talkgroups, although there are probably a few that slipped through the cracks.

This is intended to limit site loading, so that local agencies don’t get busy signals caused by traffic being dragged in from the other side of the state.
