I was listening to fire dispatch for Saint Louis County when a structure fire (smoke in a building) call came through. It went over south county dispatch, east central dispatch, and Kirkwood dispatch. South dispatch said for the units to respond on "Glendale FD". Not sure which tac or TG this would be so information would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

The Kirkwood Police Department’s Communications Center dispatches Glendale fire. So Kirkwood Dispatch, Kirkwood Main, and Tac 50+.

Yeah , that sounds right.. I'm in WG and sister lives is in Glendale. Hear many dispatches on Kirkwood main. some are automated voices i believe. I have a RS pro 688 with the Whistler upgrade.. I really don't fire it up unless I hear sirens close enough to see what's going on...
I need to upgrade the thing badly, and address the Simulcast grabbled audio situation that's been plaguing me for a while.. been playing around with different antennas even some home brew 800-900 grounds planes. but seems the rubber ducky that came with it works the best.. i move it around from room to room and found a few ways to hear TroopC, Kirkwood, and a few more buts it a pain.. I know i should tweak the menu settings a little, but just haven't spent a lot of time on it.. I mostly scan aviation and analog Point -T-P.,. Any pointers you guys have would be appreciated.. thx!

I personally don't own a Whistler scanner but when used to main the BCD436HP as a scanner I adjusted the Digital Threshold a little and it worked for the most part. I had to adjust it every once in a while but it was very annoying to do that so I went and bought an SDS100 to solve this problem. I use my 436 hooked up to a TRAM Antenna thats outside my window listening to Troop C. Not too sure if Whistler has a digital threshold type thing.

If fire calls happen along borders of cities and hence 911 dispatch centers you could easily hear south dispatch, Kirkwood Disp and East Central Disp working together to get units rolling to the scene. Check the database for all the St Louis County fire tac channels.
