Hello. I'm getting back into scanning and picked up a Home Patrol 2, not the best I know, to try it out. I like it so far but it seems that I am not picking up all the talk groups, LV Fire for example on the SNACC system. I am using an external antenna. I live in the SW around Durango/ Sahara and am asking what would be the best sites to possibility resolve this or any other suggestions that might help.

The other systems that I have seem to be working ok.

Maybe make sure you have fire, ems, rescue checked my uniden has them under select service types

Thanks for the info. Does this make sense? Do certain talk groups come up on on certain sites only? I seem to get the majority of the talk groups, including LV fire, on the simulcast site and not others. If so, then I found the issue. Plus looks like my house is in the dead zone for picking up this site. lol. I have a new antenna coming. Hopefully that helps. But this is part of the fun of the hobby. Never should have gotten rid of my old BCD436.

On my radio, all TG's will be received. On a Pro96, you only have so much room for the TG's in each bank, so I have to program SNACC in multiple banks with other TG's. But the site you use will indeed have all agencies using that system.

Just got a new antenna. Big improvement in reception. Singnal strength is great now. I like this Home Patrol scanner. Finally getting LV fire.
