Looking for frequencies that stringers may be using.. Curious into adding it to my scan lists so I can hear them going to various incidents & know whats going on.

I am in the SGV (San Gabriel Valley)

I know OnSceneTV has a freq they use but it is a trunked system and havent gotten the freq yet. sorry

Theres a very good freq used by stringers in SD (and I believe Riverside county, and maybe others). If you are a stringer, you know where it is.

462.65 unknown PL, but they seem to be the only ones on it. They are more like HAMs than stringers, they talk about news now and again.

They used to be very chatty about hot calls heard over the scanner. But not so much in the last year or so.

In LA 10 or so years ago they had CFPA (California Fire Photographers Association) still photographers running around on a 471 MHz freq......

462.650 has been used for a long time in San Diego. I agree with JoeyC they are not nearly as active compared to when I lived down there 5 years ago. You can also hear the western Riverside group on the same frequency (different PL).

I also saw this trunk system Comm Enterprises Trunking System, Sierra Peak, California - Scanner Frequencies
Talkgroup 1-16-102 labeled as 'News videographers' --- might be worth looking into. Unknown if still active.
