I have a Pro 106 I have spent the last 3 days reprograming it because I keep getting a heap error. Will a software program help with this problem and if so which one?

I had the same problem with my PRO 106 and WIN 500 software. A heap error occurs when there are unassigned or "orphan" frequencies in your radio. Either assign them a scan list or remove them and the heap error should go away.

Actually the heap error is the result of TGRP objects that aren't associated with any TSYS. An in-depth explanation can be found on the GRE America site. Note that your Win500 software can assist in finding these unassigned TGRP objects.

Twice, I had to go all the back to factor default because I could not clear heap error any other way. I am going to look into a software.
