I unfortunately lost where I saw this, but it's a very good description - with just a bit of technical stuff in there - of some of the terms that get thrown around when we talk about solar weather and propagation. It should be particularly useful for newcomers

I apologize for not reading your whole quote of information but what I've continuously heard from multiple sources, this sunspot activity is just beginning and years from now will be much more favorable. It's starting to remind me of when I was a kid in the early sixties when I started swl. That's all I have to offer lol.
