Someone has their Baofeng fired up tonight on the sheriff frequencies. They key up every time there is a call. Dispatch and deputies are getting pissed. One says we have triangulated and going to get him, but I do not know if that is possible with short bursts.

I hope they do get him. Bad behavior with a Baofeng should be a capital offense.
The only person who would really know it's a Baofeng would be the person doing it.

According to DB they have talk groups on the Palmetto system on 800. So give it time they'll solve the issue and find the offender.
True but I see them dime a dozen on Facebook to other places a lot time local sellers offering free ore programmed scanner tagged with the baofengs.
Not for the people of FIRE AND LAW THAT RISK LIVES it is no fun and games. This is what is wrong with the world all the bleeding hearts that does not have what it takes to teach lessons to people.
For the type of work they do, all they want to do is "push their PTT" and furthermore, that's all they should have to do. If they're in a foot chase, for instance, having to do it any other way could be destructive.
This is the type things that drive departments to controlled systems (State Systems) and also to use Encryption to protect the officers firemen ect.
