Here we go again, so I am going revive this post.

Anyone know who the new voice at MetCom is? Did Susan go on vacation? Has she retired? Maybe she gotten an upgrade and is now Susan 2.0.

If you have no idea what I am talking about, MetCom switched voices once again at around 1100 today. The voice is deeper and seems to dispatch more smoothly. She certainly pronounces "MetCom" a lot better.

I noticed that as well this morning, I had to check several times to verify what Talkgroup I was hearing. Interesting change.

I understand the previous voice was nicknamed 'Lola'. As I said, 'whatever Lola wants..." (old song). I had to laugh at Denver Fire's automated dispatch the other day (after I figured out what it was saying). It was dispatching a rig to pho-rest street (Forest).

Lola retired in 2012, as was noted at http://forums.radioreference.com/colorado-radio-discussion-forum/232239-new-metcom-voice.html.

Tom replaced her for a little, followed by Susan who was dispatching until this morning. The names were mentioned by Eric in the http://forums.radioreference.com/co...-forum/244773-metcom-has-new-voice-again.html thread.

Hopefully he is still around to tell us if there if this new voice has a name.

The newest voice is WestNet's most current version of the First-In Automated Voice Dispatch (AVD). "Susan" was very much a beta product from WestNet and the new one comes with several software improvements. Although there was a lot of joking around this week I don't think anyone has settled on a new name yet.
