On Sunday, 1/17/16 a Space X launch is scheduled for 10:42PST out of Vandenberg AFB and an attempt to have a controlled return (again) of stage 1 of the rocket land on a barge.

Anyone happen to know of any related frequencies that might be in use for this evolution?

Thanks for the info. Of course I did Google for the info in advance. I was optimistic about finding some local com freqs (e.g. barge to VAFB) but came up empty handed. Some of the local ham clubs had been quite active in launches out of VAFB but I hadn't heard or seen anything recently.

Space X are going to build an Launch pad here in Brownsville Tx will these be the same Freqs as on the list...........

They will be in the same 450 - 470 MHz UHF commercial band, but they more than likely wont use the same freqs due to potential conflicts with other users in Brownsville. The spectrum manager there in Cameron County will assign a half dozen or so simplex freqs and one or two repeater freqs that have little chance of interfering with anyone else within 30 miles.
