• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Speakers blew out of these from the very beginning so repair parts disappeared quickly. Keypads also are out of stock.

Mine is a headset or external speaker radio only and has been for many years now.

The speakers of many current radio shack scanners can be used in the PRO-43. The are the exact same dimensions, ohms, etc.

RS has an 800 number that is better for ordering parts (not sure of the number). Tell them you need a speaker for a PRO-89 scanner. I know for fact that one will fit because I have swapped them before.
