Yesterday I ordered a shiny new spectrum analyzer with tracking generator. It sure is a lot nicer than my old "Cushman Service Monitor" from the old GESS I used to own! Now I'll be able to tune things properly again. No more 'Armstrong Method' that's frequently more miss than hit.

I'm very tempted to get one of these. My HP 8920A is good for lengthening your arms if you're into that sort of thing. Let us know how it turns out.

Well, you don't live that far from me here in Hammond, IN so maybe I can make a day trip down that way some Saturday or Sunday.

I bought this mainly because none of my fellow hams here in NW Indiana own a spectrum analyzer w/ tracking generator. I also have more than a few duplexers to tune up for myself and some others.

I'll definitely be posting my experience with it. The one "bad part" is that they are unable to import the battery for it due to current import restrictions on certain lith-ion batteries, so it's only possible to work from a wall outlet or a computer UPS... :(

How is the Rigol working out? I'm looking at getting one
It's wonderful, truly. I had to watch a lot of YouTube videos to learn how to use it, because the manual is totally worthless, despite being written in fairly good English for a change.

I really don't need a picture to tell me that *this* knob is the BW (Bandwidth) control, as it's printed on the bloody instrument's panel! Tell me how to use it...

I just got a Decibel 4 cavity bandpass/reject filter in this morning. I'll be tuning it up sometime in the next few days.
