So, as we all know, Springfield PD is 100% encrypted with no signs of lifting it. So, I have a question about entering the input frequencies to see if I could hear very close traffic. I know it's probably a long shot, but any shot is better than none.

So, I entered the 3 input frequencies I want, including 465.100, 465.450 and 465.500. My question is what do I set the audio type as? Do I keep it as Digital with the same NAC as the encrypted frequency or do I change to All audio type with a SRCH NAC?

Encrypted is encrypted. All you will hear is the Scrambled noise. No way around it. All you will hear is the same on the input frequencies.

Ok, thanks. I figured there was no way around it, but it doesn't hurt to ask anyways. Plenty of other departments, both fire & law enforcement, to listen to out here in Western Mass. Also, with 3 airports nearby, 2 of them military, it keeps the aviation frequencies busy too.
