It is a normal route along the Alabama-Tennessee state line to the east,with ATC route,all the C-130 and others get ATC to give them Sand Hills(SDZ) which is navaid fix for flight and then to Pope off the fix.

Wow... i need i 3-D relief map big enough i can walk on. well big. that vortac is EAST of me, between me and pope. thats essentially, one turn at Albuquerque and youre done. i guess when you get up to altitude it obviously doesn't matter but that is hard for me to wrap my head around still.
Thanks for the detailed info though. i just never realized the vectoring or whatever it s that they do would have worked out like that.
