Word on the street is that St. Clare's will be leaving CENCOM for MICCOM sometime in January. I have gotten word on what the radio system will consist of, but at this time I cannot post specifics.

I will update as soon as I can.

We are giving up the radios and going to two cups with a string. And not just any string. We are going to that ultra strong fishing line that will increase the speed of information.

St Clare's will be migrating to a MotoTRBO system for both OPERATIONS and DISPATCH, essentially removing any chance of monitoring their agency (without specific TRBO equipment and knowing talkgroup IDs).

The system will consist of multiple repeater sites linked together via IP.

does this mean nobody can monitor them ,they are on a restricted freq.?

It means that because of MotoTRBO's TDMA technology, you will only be able to hear it if you have a MotoTRBO radio and know the information of the system they are on. If you tune your scanner to their frequency, you will only hear digital transmission.

The Offical switch will be made 1/17/11 at 07:00. All dispatches will be from MICCOM and all new unit numbers will take effect them.
