• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Hinsdale PD & FD

Hinsdale PD is dispatched by Southwest Central Dispatch in Palos Heights. They are on Net 9 which is 476.7375 MHz PL 114.8; They are the 2800 series units. Net 9 also includes Clarendon Hills 4000's, Willowbrook 1500's, Burr Ridge 4400's, Indian Head Park 4100's, and Lemont 3800's PD's.

Hinsdale FD is dispatched by Southwest Central Dispatch on 153.635 MHz PL 146.2 Hz. They are the 1000 units, along with Clarendon Hills FD 300 units, and Tri-State FD 500 units. Tri-State dispatches themselves.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Will, that I know well. Actually grew up in Hinsdale.

I'm looking for the actual radio ID's assigned to each apparatus and car for Hinsdale on the StarCom21 system. The radio ID is the individual identifying number assigned to each radio that appears at the dispatch console (and on your scanner) when the radio transmits.

For example: i410302 and i410303 are the radios inside Hinsdale FD quarters.

Oh, okay. Sorry I couldn't be of much help. I just monitor SWCD Net 9 on their analog network, which is simulcast to Starcom 21 in group #2638, and they also have #2639 as a secondary channel.

Hinsdale FD uses 2710xx RIDs, while the PD uses 2736xx RIDs.
