I always thought that station numbers were only an Orange County thing. I don't believe that Riverside or San Berdoo do the same thing. I know that for Riverside County Law Enforcement agencies, they use a letter to denote the particular department. Corona uses K for example......

Mark the station numbers in the database are just for the SD. City agencies use their own call signs. Most Colton units start of Paul, some Charlie, Sam, or Lincoln. I've kind of figuered it out that Paul is a regular officer, Charlie a corporal, Sam Sgt, Lincoln Is Lt. (I think). The SD uses the station numbers in the database. ie 16P23 is a Big Bear Lake City Unit. 6P22 is a Big Bear station unit not working the city. 6S5 is a Big Bear Station Sgt. etc. etc.

I'm a former SBSD deputy (and former County Fire PCF), so if you give me an idea what part of the county you're interested in, I can give you a quick list. The SO alone has something like thirty stations, Fire countywide (counting cities and districts) are double or triple that, due to the size of the county. I actually have a list somewhere. If I can find it, i'll post it to the DB. Haven't used it in years, so don't know exactly where it is...

Afraid my expertise is on the San Bernardino County side of the line...I know almost nothing about Riverside law agencies.

Back on the topic of stations while monitoring Palm Desert and Indio RSO stations they mention "907 Station" or "909 units". Is there a list of these somewhere?
