I have proscan, setup web server, works fine within my network by typing in the url from any pc in the house. How do I get it out so I can log in from outside networks? I set up port forwarding to the pc ip. I setup an account at Noip.com I really need more details how to make this work. I have a netgear nighthawk. I set a static ip for the server pc. I must have missed something?

First check that the Router Port Forwarding is setup correctly. Start the Web Server then use this tool.

I did that and it said my port is closed or server timed out.
Check your Router Port Forwarding again.
You want to use the following:
1. Use TCP (or TCP and UDP).
2. Use the IP address or name of the computer running the server. A common mistake is using the scanner IP address when using an Ethernet capable scanner.
3. Use the same port # as the server.

If canyouseeme still fails then temporarily disable any Internet Security or Antivirus software for a test.

Do you perhaps have two routers. Maybe one at the cable modem/router and then the nighthawk downstream of that? If so, then you need to port forward on both routers

Ok moving forward, cox has a jacked up way to port forward through the modem/router. Thank you DC31! But? It reserved an IP address not on my list. I guess I have to plug the pc directly in to the router, hope it sees it and assigns it? Cox only allowing 1 ip to port forward??
