"Stereo" capability in R2500

Hi folks.
The PCR2500 manual (pg.113) talks about "recording & playback" of stereo audio.
Also says "PCR2500 Only".
Now, does this mean NOT on the R2500?

Basic question is, I know the R2500 box has a 1/8" ONE channel headphone connector, but is stereo sound available via the USB port, on the PC ??

Nice Try.

But alas, it is not true L/R Stereo. It is to take advantage of the dual receivers of the 2500 to produce two MONO signals, pathed one each through the built-in audio processor. THe manual even states, that both VFOs must be tuned to the same freq. But since the 1500 is single VFO, you can't route two AFs. I kinda thinks it's a step backward they didn't incorporate stereo in the 1500 like they did on the PCR100. Even if it came down to being a HW option, or bit setting in FW/SW, it would be better than nothing.
