USS Harry Truman put back to sea from Norfolk today.. Mentions will be doing some C-2A carrier quals
so we might get some increased C-2A Greyhound traffic going back and forth. I imagine will stay in area
for a while before pushing on and also gathering its Airwing.

It is a military aircraft, be happy that anything is sent that is not encrypted.

In recent months in this area many of the upgraded MUSEL UH-1's were tracking
full mode s and was just wondering if any of the locals here noticed if they all turned off their tracking transponders or
just a temp thing :)

Logged a Embraer KC-390 yesterday (E48F9F) PT-ZNJ KC-390 FL270 at 1940z no callsign showing here.
2nd prototype test bed for this Embraer transport program.

Ok after search seems to be testing out of Huntsville now and came this way yesterday.

I think only AE6233 and AE624F have been ADS-B out, the other two mode-s only.

MUSSELL10 AE6249 69-6667 just passed by enroute to Mt Weather. Unless it's bleed over from 292.2, I've got a new squadron freq for them. 293.6
Several times now I've heard them on it.

Also got some HMX-1 comms on 318.9 and 273.95

Maybe it's inaccurate but it looked like a Canadian Forces CH-147F touched down in Sunrise Valley Park in Reston a few minutes ago -

Gaithersburg 2045z at 1900 feet around 4:20PM
Logged in Canada around 11:30am so assume working way Southbound.

I hadn't logged it previously, first picked it up on ads-b in south-central PA then it basically tracked down the i270 corridor. I lost it over the Potomac River so I checked adsbexchange. I'm thinking someone was feeding an inaccurate decode to adsbexchange. I find it hard to believe it actually touched down

Coast Guard assists ailing man aboard sailboat near Chesapeake Beach, Md.
BALTIMORE — The Coast Guard assisted an ailing 77-year-old man aboard a sailboat anchored just off Chesapeake Beach Inlet Sunday evening.
Two reporting sources notified watchstanders at Sector Maryland-National Capital Region’s command center that a 26-foot sailboat with two people aboard appeared to be floundering just outside the inlet.
One of the two people aboard the sailboat called Coast Guard Station Oxford and reported that her friend, a 77-year-old diabetic man, was weak, disoriented, and in need of medical assistance.
A 29-foot Response Boat-Small crew from Station Oxford launched to assist the man. The boat crew put the sailboat in a side tow and brought them to a private marina in Chesapeake Beach, where they transferred the ailing man to EMS personnel.
“Two concerned citizens took action and called the Coast Guard when they saw the sailboat and thought something might be wrong,” said William D. Carter, operations unit controller for the case. “We encourage all mariners and coastal residents to keep an eye out for anything unusual on the water. If you see something, say something.”
