Rgr Terry logged those 3 T-44's the other day coming North and out again today as well.
Don't get them often up this way from TW-4 NAS Corpus Christi Texas KNGP.
Nice catch on the A/A. Assume weekend Navy training run ? Usually we get the Florida T-6 II Texan types up here for the weekends.
Checking my old scanner freq list have 246.900 as Navy TEX 2 A/A.. Maybe standard A/A for Navy trainers?

Yes saw them northbound into McGuire as well. Got distracted by work so could not get outside to take their picture inbound. I had that frequency in several radios so must be another usage that I have logged. Will have to check the logs.

Speaking of odd warbirds this morning 8:30am local mode s logging
(A5C00C) N47PF Nanchang CJ-6A at 3000 feet eastbound MD thru Del into Southern NJ.
I think it is based at KJYO Leesburg Exec airport Va.

N47PF | Nanchang CJ-6A | Private | FOKKER AIRCRAFT | JetPhotos
Nanchang CJ-6 - Wikipedia
"Due to its low price and sturdy construction, the CJ-6A is a popular hobby plane. A used CJ-6 in the United States can cost as little as $75,000"

See on mode s McGuire KC-10 tankers BLUE01,11,91 working way West to Lajes today from the Med.
Assume should make Bangor tomorrow or next day with 18 MO F-15E's returning US after 6 months down range
unless they decide instead on heading South to SJ on way back.

Notice new Tinker KC-46A tankers training callsign use MDUSA## on mode S.
Assume it is Medusa callsign not Made in the USA :)

I wonder if those are range specific frequencies or actually part of their standard frequencies for A/A ?

I sent a query to the FL guy. Will let you know what he says

Sounds great - I have placed them in the rotation just in case they use them up here. Looks like Giant Killer fixed their transmitter issues as well. At least the tone is gone - still have ringing in my ears from that yesterday

Guys,

Here's what my buddy in FL sent:

They are not range or Homestead ARB freqs that I know of.
I think they may be a temporary assignment while they are at Homestead.
Friend of mine here saw a Facebook post for Florida monitors and had a list of what they typically use at home and none of these are on that list.
I noticed the same thing when the MA and OH ANG was here, none of the freqs they used belonged to them or Patrick AFB, as far as I know.
It is SATAN, spelling error on my part. Was rushing to get the post finished.
So far I have heard them using DEVIL, HELL and SATAN.

318.775 and 370.975 have been reported being used by them, but I have not caught them active.
They also flew the POTUS CAP in West Palm Beach late last week, so they are actually working while they are here.
