Yeah saw that neat article.. Still gonna need some more overhaul work
at Tinker but good to see 0034 back.. Got to add all the latest goodies.

Last hour see DRAGO 51 on boxes KC-46A 17-46030 22ARW in area FL220
First DRAGO-51 of that new type.Came up from the South maybe Langley.
after flying around area.. Maybe setting up for tomorrow. There is a 11am Arlington service for a USAF Col Joe O Bunting jr.
Former B-52 crew member awarded twice with the Distinguished Flying Cross medal. Also along with his wife Cathy.

Notice on space A boards 5 McGuire C-17's and 5 Charleston C-17's to Pope AFB
over the next 2 days.. Exercise or rotation maybe.

I saw them come over Wednesday evening for what must have been a practice run. Nice low boom-down pass over the Air Force Memorial

From Norad for the DC area nightowls tonight.

Seems to me some years ago they would scramble a couple F-16's as well but
lately just these two.

North American Aerospace Defense Command will conduct air exercise Falcon Virgo Saturday morning, May 18, in the National Capital Region with flights scheduled between midnight and 2:30 a.m. eastern.
A U.S. Coast Guard MH-65D Dolphin helicopter and Civil Air Patrol Cessna 182T aircraft will participate in Falcon Virgo. Some portions of the exercise could involve flights at approximately 2,500 feet above ground level and may be visible from the ground. If weather prevents regularly scheduled flights, the exercise will commence the next day.

SENTRY's bugging out of Dover late this afternoon for home. There were a bunch down on coastal Texas
also this past weekend.I'm guessing they were relocated out of Tornado alley Oklahoma for wx.
Tinker Air Force Base evacuates aircraft ahead of severe weather
1720 local SENTRY 51 off Dover 78-0577 reports on Dover CP that tower told them excess fuel venting right wing
on departure but crew says plane is fine and will continue home to Tinker.

On a similar note, TBIRD 14, A C-17 departed Long Island last night and landed at Dover. I assume this was transportation support for the Thunderbirds for this weekends Jones Beach air show.

Rgr Tech seems McGuire and Dover have been doing most of the T-Bird 14 work this show season.
Not sure how Blue Angels will handle it now.. Maybe use a Marine Corp Reserve C-130T out of McGuire?

05/25/19 at 1241 local- 3 fighter jets just went over central NJ going NE. Couldn't get a good look but they looked like F16s. No comms noted either. Either going up the Hudson for Fleet Week or to Jones Beach Air Show.
