Guysa,

Earlier today noticed on ADS-B that CG 101 left DCA and was heading west. This flight was probably related to the below:

Coast Guard 13th District to hold change-of-command ceremony in Seattle

SEATTLE - Rear Adm. Anthony J. Vogt is scheduled to relieve Rear Adm. David G. Throop as commander of the Coast Guard 13th District in a change-of-command ceremony held at Coast Guard Base Seattle, Tuesday, at 11 a.m.

Rear Adm. Vogt is coming to District 13 from Coast Guard Headquarters where he served as Coast Guard Assistant Commandant for Response Policy. In this role, he was responsible for the development of strategic response doctrine and policy guidance for all Coast Guard forces.

These policies encompassed seven of the eleven operational maritime missions in the areas of law enforcement, search and rescue, maritime security, counterterrorism and defense operations, oil spill response, incident management, and contingency exercise programs.

Rear Adm. Throop is going to the Pacific Area Command in Alameda, CA where he will serve as Deputy Commander Pacific Area.

Side Note: around same time CG 101 left DCA, CG102 also departed and headed south.

Notice mode s Coast Guard C-27J AE272F 08-2704 was showing C2704 before
end of last Month now assume testing at Pax River as SCORE 76.
Maybe trying that super optic camera system found on P-8A's on a Coastie aircraft?

Looks like MacDill AFB 310AS in Florida losing their three C37A/GLF5 types.
Two to 65thAS Ramstein and one to 76thAS Hawaii.
Tails logged here over the past year. Usually using SPAR or FLASH callsign. I think FLASH was their local unit callsign.

Sort of surprising with CENTCOM on same base but I guess the 89thAW Andrews
can move the Brass down that way in and out in 2 hour trips :)

Caught interesting radio traffic out of Seymour Johnson AFB this morning around 1100...KC-135 (BACKY01 IIRC) called on command post channel to advise they were cancelling their AR mission due to a bird strike on take off. They requested command let the receiving aircraft know however based on ADS-B traffic a Charleston C-17 was already loitering in the area. That C17 eventually landed at RDU airport for what I assume was fuel before proceeding West Bound from Raleigh, NC.
