Over the past week, the Chicago area has been struck with two major storms. Yesterday was the topper with funnel clouds, major damage throughout the city and suburbs and just overall destruction. Was able to survey the neighborhood i'm in and haven't seen this since 1990..(Plainfield tornado) when we received the winds and the rain from that here. I was outside as the storm approached and saw the swirling clouds, wind gushed and couldn't believe all the debris I saw flying through the air. I just wonder who was listening and to what? I had Starcom on as the Stevenson was flooded, CPD and CFD was hectic. What were you listening to?

I was listening to my local Police and Fire frequencies when it hit. I also shot some impromptu video of the storm. I posted the video on Tom Skillings Facebook page and he actually sent me a reply.

YouTube - Tornado Warning! Bad storms rolling through the Heights.

Tom Skilling commented on your link:

"Great video, Frank--and eerie with the sirens in the backround! THANKS for sharing this with us!"

Get ready for more storms this Saturday and Sunday when the cold front passes.

I'm getting sick and tired of all the heavy rain / tornados. We seem to be stuck in the same weather pattern for the month of June.
