2 new NJSP Encrypted talkgroups are active. 41872 & 41840.

I have updated my radio ID spreadsheet and if time allows I will be updating and uploading a new version every day around 4pm until the football madness is over.

Yeah, it's been a busy day today (Mon 1/27) on a lot of the UTAC/UASI stuff (with patches to the 800/700 systems). I can only imagine it will get busier as the week goes by.

Superbowl Monitoring

Just a few thoughts based on the Superbowl held in Dallas and what we heard:

- Milair will be more active including Combat Air Patrols (CAP)
- US Coast Guard including Milair / Marine Band
- AWACS will be up along with Tanker Support for CAP most likely
- NORAD / Sector will be on we supect
- CBE Choppers will up weather permitting "Omaha" call sign
- As noted EPA aircraft on sky-sweeps
- Federal bands will be active as always (including USSS)

Check Sector NOTAM for TFR's and Block Refueling areas

Have freq 121.5 and 243.0 Loaded for Aircraft Emergencies and AWACS/CAP " Warnings to Pilots" that stray in or near Superbowl TFR areas...

Best of luck and please let us know what you hear"

Thx

Bill

some updates for today's fun. DOT is working on Statecom 7 for traffic ops and Statecom 14 sounds like some sort of command channel (Command Bus is on there, unknown which agency).

Military combat air patrol flights will start with an exercise Wednesday early morning:

"Individuals in and around the East Rutherford area can expect flights to begin Jan. 29 around 4:30 a.m. EST and continue for approximately one hour.
Exercise Amalgam Virgo 14-01, a NORAD air-defense exercise, will be conducted Wednesday in the greater East Rutherford area so interagency partners can practice procedures for responding to airspace violations."

CONR to fly air defense exercise in preparation for Super Bowl XLVIII > North American Aerospace Defense Command > Press Releases

Looks/sounds like something is being patched to Statecom 11 with a mobile command unit,I'm picking up a radio ID of 0 on 700 MHz.

My 700 site (002) has almost 0 Super Bowl activity. I had Unitrunker running on it yesterday just to see what might pop up and nothing new showed up. Just some sporadic statecom traffic.

What would be used for the Northern NJSP Marine units would it be 10 Comm ? I have not heard much over NJSP marine or aviation channels as of yet, just a lot of escorting of buses.

Thanks

Tony

Don't know if this is the place but I've heard brief comms over 123.1 about NJ and I have it from a source all the private jets are landing in Morristown instead of Teterboro because Teterboro will have medivacs and othere types of official choppers
