First off why are previous threads locked? Makes no sense.

Anyhow saw tg 101 show up on this system. No idea who it is because well.... encryption

I suspect 164.770 is also part of this system as well.

What did you see on 164.77? Suspect it would be 164.7675 or 164.775 actually. Which site?

Very few of the repeater inputs are known, and you can get activity if the mobiles are close enough.

TG101 is police I think, but like you no way to confirm. Radios have text "alias" sometimes which can help, but do scanners actually show them? (DSD+ does).

I don't see any IDs and anything I've ever seen pop up was encrypted so....

I'll review over that frequency again. I usually see a bunch of different encrypted frequencies show up I'll mark them down next time I see them. They're all good solid signals but I have no idea where they belong.

New Site 10 has appeared, CC on 154.325 (Ch=19). No activity so far.

Dave

I've picked up weak NXDN 4.8k CC on 153.725 which is a VC for this system, weak in east Ottawa. Marginal decode during good
propagation, could be Site 11 but not certain.

Could anybody running DSD+ check the N48 control channel on 153.725...still too weak at this end.

OK, it is in the DB, thought I'd checked and not seen it. Too many windows/systems open. Interesting, site must be a stand-alone as no other sites show it as a neighbour...

Dave , this might help you to identify FD vehicles for MRC des Collines .

Dave , this might help you to identify FD vehicles for MRC des Collines .

Good information in these documents, thanks! All activity is encrypted of course, but it is possible to get some idea
of what is happening. Location of most sites is still not identified.

From DSD+, RIDs do not correspond directly to vehicle numbers in documents. However, some radios transmit
"alias" such as M-171 and M-741 which can sometimes identify them.

Possibly for incendie (SSI, TGs 20x), fixed stations have RID 10x or 10xx, and mobile/portable radios are 30xxx .

For police e.g. TG 101 I see alias such as MDC-134,-135 etc., and Centrale.

Anyone know locations for sites in the DB which have no location identified?
General area is good enough.

Here is some CC strength (scale 0-5) raw data from Baskin's Beach in NW Ottawa across the
river from Luskville. Directional antenna was not on hand at the time, mobile antenna used.

Interesting that Sites 9 and 11 are not reported as neighbours by any other
site (except possibly each other but they are normally too weak for me to get that info).

Dave

Site 9: 154.355 -> SS=5 NL=?
Site 7: 152.750 -> SS=5 NL=1,2,3
Site 2: 152.420 -> SS=4 NL=1,3,4,7,8,10
Site 1: 164.025 -> SS=3 NL=2,3,4,7,8,10
Site 3: 162.570 -> SS=2 NL=1,2,4,8,10
Site 11: 153.725 -> SS=2 NL=?
Site 4: 151.910 -> SS=1 NL=1,2,3,10
Site 8: 165.045 -> SS=1 NL=1,2,3
Site 10: 154.325 -> SS=0 NL=1,2,4

Several months ago I passed by Luskville Falls off Hwy 148 and noticed on the old stone building
(Hotel de Ville+caserne?) the mast with two UHF antenna had a new VHF dipole. I assume incendie
is now on the MRC NXDN system. However some activity is still on UHF (410.9625), appears
to be non-emergency services (works dept.). Seems to be the case with Chelsea as well
on 169.215 repeater.
