Icom: T7H speaker stopped working

I have a couple of these great little handhelds, but one just stopped working last week.

No drops or damage that I know of, but the speaker simply quit working. It transmits fine, and receives signals fine, but no sound. hooking up the speaker mike or my Heil headset makes no difference.

I was hoping perhaps it was just the speaker jack stuck on and feeding the external device, but no dice.

Any thoughts before shipping a low-value radio back to Icom?

Have you checked to be sure the CTCSS decoder is NOT enabled? It's easy to poke the wrong buttons and accidentally enable CTCSS which would stop all audio coming out of the radio until it receives the proper CTCSS tone.
