they used to be on 457.5125. then stopped using it last year.
i have searched vhf-lo 150-155mhz, 158-159, 450-470 902-928 nothing.
i know they are still using radios, they have headsets with a 6 inch long piece that is the microphone and no visible antenna.

Do you have a scanner that does Close Call? Go to the drive thru and order your meal and then sit in the parking lot and see if you get any Close Call hits.

They may be using a headset radio that's probably digital, in the 900 MHz band up to 5.8 GHz, and probably does frequency hopping. Your days of monitoring the Taco Bell may be over. Several companies make these radio systems now, and one of the selling points is that they cannot be monitored by scanners and persons with frequency agile radios can no longer break into the ordering system and tie it up with juvenile pranks. Enough recordings of fast food radio traffic have shown up on You Tube and other web sites that major companies realize they have a problem that needed to be solved. If you screw with companies with enough money, you'll soon find they have more ways to lock you out than you have of getting in.

SAR2401's post is right on target. I worked for a pro audio company that maintained drive-thru setups which included the radios, which a few years back came mostly from Honeywell and were on 900 mHz.
I believe that they were also spread spectrum so you can forget about monitoring them or anything like them.

I hope my TB doesn't switch over. As others have said it's about the most entertaining listening you can find at times. My favorite is:

"Can I have 2 grilled stuffed burritoes, a bean burrito, a mexican pizza, and a caramel-apple empanada, with a water?" (from the 19 y.o. sorority girl, in the Mercedes SUV).

Really? All that and you're worried about a soda affecting your figure?

Mickey D's:

From the oversized female driver: "Big Mac, large fries and a diet Coke"

And the East Indian mother with two kids in the back: "Two Big Mac combos, hold the meat"
