So I was looking at the entry for the Talk Wireless UHF LTR system up at Lookout Point:

There seems to be one heck of a lot of groups active for The Weed Man. Can anyone actually confirm if they actually use all of the groups they have on there?
The only thing I can think of is that they are using individual groups as a way of identifying radios, much the same as what Fleetcom does with Miller Transit. That is, every radio would be programmed to receive all groups between 0-05-xxx and 0-05-xxx but would transmit back with their specific group/radio ID. That way, a properly configured radio would be able to display an alphanumeric alias for each group which would translate into an individual radio.
Just a thought... but it does seem odd that they'd need THAT many groups...unless the weeds are taking over!
