Has T.P.S.O. gone over to LWIN? I never hear any traffic on any of their channels anymore...

I thought the original plan was to move to narrow band then P25 conventional using the same channels. I know they have TGs on LWIN but I am not sure if they were using them. I don't get back to Louisiana nearly as much as I used to.

They moved to the statewide system about two months ago. Dispatch is on LWIN talkgroup 35508.

APD is dispatched by TPSO. TP was originally going to go P-25 Conventional, then they had some issues come up, then figured cheaper and easier to go LWIN than completely rebuild thier own system.

I'm monitoring T.P.S.O. now on LWIN - they also dispatch Tickfaw Police, too. I like it better now than when they were on VHF...clearer signals. Thanks!

I picked up Tangipahoa Sheriff over hear in Alabama on VHF During skip. Hate to see they moved to the LWIN.

What about Hammond PD? Have they made the move to LWIN?

Hammond PD moved to LWIN months ago. They still also use the encrypted VHF repeater too but most all traffic is on LWIN in the clear last time I checked.
