Hello All!
As a longtime member of the Tarheel Scanner/Shortwave Group based in the Triangle and a moderator/database admin here I knew this was the perfect spot to post this message....for those that live in the Central NC area we would love to have both licensed Hams and unlicensed scanner/shortwave buffs participate...there is a yahoo group setup for participation:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tarheelscanner/
On that Yahoo Group Kelly AE4FG has posted the following:
Hello,
At our last SIG meeting, we had a discussion on how to encourage more
participation in our Monday night Scanner/SWL nets (9:00 PM on 146.64,
Raleigh).
One idea was to post our scanner and shortwave listening logs here on
the Tarheelscanner Yahoo group. Then, the net control will read the
logs and give credit to the listener.
So, please post your interesting logs here. Start the subject with
something like "Shortwave log" or "Scanner log", and include your
location. It will be neat to see what other people are monitoring.
Thanks, and we'll see you on Monday's net.
73s,
Kelly
AE4FG
Feel free to check in on the net if you are licensed or submit info through the yahoo group if you are a passive monitoring buff....either way we appreciate your participation!
Happy Monitoring!
