Never seen that error before. What version of the client are you trying to install? Are all your soundcard drivers up to date? What OS are you running?

Did a search on the Hawlvoice, and I only found two references to that problem. Seem that the fix, is to go to TeamSpeaks website, and re-download the current client version, and try to re-install.

Seemed to work for the few people who had the same problem.

If I remember correctly the beta was just an update to the .exe file and not a full install, which would obviously cause issues as well. Sounds like you're on the right track now though.

Well got it all installed.................oh boy , bit more complicated than EazyStream.

I registered on Scan Cape and click on the Join button and nothing happens (On the Teamspeak board you have) I have the client open.....will have to configure some more I guess.

Is there a place that has the list for scanner servers , I can put that in the client manually right?

Hello,

Go here: http://scancapecod.us/xoops/modules/tinycontent/index.php?id=12/
- scroll down to Available Channels
- click on a Channel (not a user)
- click on the Join button that shows up on the right
- type in a nickname and click ANONYMOUS and click CONNECT

The only way you would select 'Registered' is if you were a streaming client and have previously gotten the staff to set you up with a registered login to Teamspeak.

You can add the server manually by doing this:
- Open Teamspeak
- Click on Connect
- right-click on Servers, select Add Server
- name it: (ex: ScanCapeCod)

Then on the right fill in the details.
Server Address: 216.86.155.108:8005
Nickname: your nickname
Select ANONYMOUS
- leave everything below empty

Connect.

- Mike

You're welcome. When I'm at work (or home and nothing is happening) I often tune into that one. You're sure to hear some activity from some agency on there. I like that its on TS and you can just choose any of the channels without having to reconnect or go find another address to connect to.

Scan CapeCod has REALLY done a great job of organizing a TS server, and has a lot of great feeds on it. Congrads to whoever is responsible for this awesome TS server!!!!

Thanks for the kind words, gentlemen. My server is a small regional one. The biggies are IBN's and ScannerBuff, both very well run servers in their own rights. There are also a number of other smaller regional servers available as well; most have been discussed in some way, shape, or form at RR.

The bottom line is that Teamspeak is a unique and nifty way to provide a multitude of audio only feeds, simultaneous chat, and a "community" type approach. Fun stuff.

Thanks again!
