Here's my home shack before I move back to college on Monday. We just moved into this house so it's not all that set up. Usually the 246t is on the computer all linked up and streaming. The others are a RS Pro-82, Two Motorola SP50's, and a Realistic Pro-2022. The antenna... well it's up... the RS 20-176. Andy

Cool!

Who makes the speaker?

The larger speaker above the 2022 is made by Uniden. It's their 20 watt model. The smaller speaker to the right of the 2022 is the Radio Shack 19-318A. Same price as the larger one! And the two to the left of everything are my Altec comp speakers.

I've never used the ESP 5 so I can't really compare but the 20 sounds fine for me. Of course, no speaker that is not amplified will ever be "louder" than the speaker on the actual scanner. However, I've found that the ESP 20 adds a great deal of bass to the sound which makes it easier on the ear.
