it sure is ear piercing. i can understand how it would make one sick. i always wondered if the state dept swept the place for electronic devices. its not like we built it, there could be all kinds of stuff hidden in walls
When this story originally broke. My first thought was that the embassy probably has audio masking devices (ultrasonic and infrasonic noise makers) to protect from eavesdropping and the technicians may have set the levels way too high at an unsafe level. A SCIF was installed for OBama's visit, so it is likely additional; audio masking equipment was placed for that visit. I am not convinced this isn't the case.
If you work around high audio levels long enough, your hearing and health will suffer. You don't have to hear it to be hurt. Also loud noises create non-linearity in the surrounding air and within the ear, so at that point multiple ultrasonic sounds can become audible and distorted.
This "brain evidence" is odd. I have terrible tinnitus and an MRI or CT scan reveals nothing.
The recording in this thread is from some unknown source. It is suspicious to me as it sounds like a data transmission that I have heard scanning the bands.
It would be interesting to know if the hotel room where the Canadian reported audio disturbances is some random room or a suite on long term lease for embassy personnel. If it is a lease, could either the Canadian or US embassy tech ops folks have installed audio masking devices to protect conversations within?
