FYI: I was in one of the first EMT classes taught by PG County FD, long before the guys on LAFD Squad 51 aired!
They were the early Paramedics and led the way for the Heartmobile in Montgomery County and EMT-P in Maryland.
They still attend fan shows and sign autographs. really nice guys.

PG Co station 12 (I think) hosted an Emergency! reunion thing about 20-25 years ago. Randolph Mantooth was there. I got to shake his hand. Kevin Tighe couldn't make it, but I believe some of the other actors were there as well as the original Squad 51 vehicle. It was a pretty cool gathering. A lot of people showed up. I have photos (from a film camera) of it around here somewhere if anyone's super interested in seeing them.
