• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Bobby was great in school. Got A's in everything...except math. He wasn't able to master the logic of math. His parents were concerned so they got him a tutor. It didn't work. His math grades were still in the cellar.

They decided to send him to a private school. That didn't work. So they tried a military school. Still no luck.

As a last resort they sent him to a Catholic school. At the end of the first semester, Bobby came home, threw his report card on the table and plopped down in a chair. Dad picked up the report card and, miracles of miracles, Bobby got an A in math.

Dad asked, "What was it? Was it the tutor, the military school? What was it?"

Bobby said, "Well, that first day, when I walked in and saw Jesus nailed to that plus sign, I knew they meant business."
