Here are some pictures of my shack which includes a Kenwood-TS-711A, Icom R-7000, Icom-756Pro II, Icom-ID800H, Uniden-BCD996XT, GRE-PSR600 and a Motorola-XTL-1500 programmed for various 900 Mhz ham repeaters in New England and Long Island, NY.

The audio feeds include two Uniden 785D scanners and a GRE-PSR600.

Last but not least is the "Old School" monitoring post that is fully operational covering 30-50, 150-174, 450 - 470 on two scanners. The Instalerts are set up for 46.06 and 154.310. All of these radios date back into the late 1960's and early 1970's.

Nice setup.

What's the box with the Nixie tubes on the right above the ID-800?

In the "old school" category, I also take note of the rotary telephone.

Astrocom:

Love it...Love it....Love it! I'm a big fan of nice & neat shacks and yours is awesome. Some questions for you now that you posted these great pics.

1. Is the rack with the feed scanners in the same room with your desk?
2. What feeds are you running with the 3 scanners on the rack? I don't see a feed provider badge, so I'm assuming they are private feeds.
3. The furniture holding the scanners on your desk looks to be a separate piece. If so, where did you get that?
4. Any info/pics on your antenna set-up would be appreciated.

Again, very nice shack! Thanks for posting the pics

The scanner feeds are in the basement. The feeds support a private fire notification network and are set up for City of New Haven CT Fire, Southern New Haven County Fire, Suffolk County, NY TRS.
The furniture holding the scanners is a custom built shelf laminated with wood grain formica.
For the scanners, I'm using an Austin Ferret and two multi couplers to supply the two scanners & Icom R7000 in the shack and the scanner feeds.

Impressive setup! Neat, clean, well executed. Love the "classics" Regency and Bearcat scanners.

How's the Ferret working for you?

Very nice!

What do you use the R7000 for?

I boxed mine years ago. It's a beautiful radio, with it's milcom look and feel, that is for sure!

Again, very nice setup.

Were did you get the black ford special service model unmarked that you have in the picture of your shack?

There's a guy on the net selling a variety of police interceptor replicas outfitted with led blue and reds. Very good detail.

I actually have it connected to the Icom 756Pro II and use it as a band scope.

The ferret is a great antenna. It's well built. I like the fact that I can use it as a backup for transmit on the amateur bands.
