Since it is for sale on several commercial sites I think it is unlikely you will find such a source. They usually keep things pretty much under control for current products, from what I have seen. It's like looking for software cracks. Usually you only find them for old versions, that's my experience anyway. Illegal file sharing may be an avenue if you want to risk the amount of viruses that are spread that way. Even that looks like it may be getting clamped down on. I saw one of the big Torrent sites got sued for a kagillion dollars last week or something. 20 quid doesn't seem like a lot to pay for something like that.

I thought that receiving any frequency on a receiver without permission of the licensee is totally illegal in the UK?

From dicussions/links provided here and elsewhere that was my understanding too, but I will be somewhere inside the front cover of the book is a lengthy disclaimer saying why the info is for educational purposes etc. etc. Just like Uniden puts on many of their recent scanners and inside the manuals "A license is required to use this device in Canada"

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

What was the other thing I saw the other day too, oh yeah, the FM transmitter kits, some 5 or 10 watts I think, for sale on the internet with disclaimers all over the pages about being for "educational purposes only".

It also said they would cancel and refund any order from UK or EU.
