I have over 40 frequencies programmed for the Thunderbirds. Today (Sep 15th)
they performed at the 2011 Reno International Air Races. I located a new
frequency. 139.800 MHz AM. They used this for their primary frequency. The
solos utilized 235.250 MHz AM.

Actually post all the freqs you heard that were active, not just the Thunderbirds. The MT article republished every year has the complete list of freqs for the TBirds. We can construct a wiki article to house them so that folks going to the show next year have a place from which to start

best regards..Mike

Akuter and DQ, can you post what you found over the weekend in Reno and Idaho? They're in Redding this weekend and I'm interested in what they used. Are the 413MHz ground maintenance freqs in FM mode? Thanks!

141.075 was the prestart(roll out)/diamond thru most of the show.
235.25 were the solo(s). Most of the traffic were these two. I would go with the FM mode on 413MHz.
Before the Sat show there was some tumble weed on the runway that the ground crew had to snag, all on 141.075. Kodos to the Thunderbirds great show/weather.

Tbirds also used these same frequencies in 2006 and 2008

413 frequencies are NFM and use a DCS tone.
