TWC frequencies

Thanks for the info.... I kinda figured they had to be on an 800mhz listing because I searched direct through the FCC for my area and nothing was listed. Now the next adventure is trying to find out what frequencies they run on and what if there is any talk group Id's. Nextel has a consideribly large ammount of frequencies.

You can't moniter Nextel.

Correct... almost.

Some nextel sites still operate in analog from what I hear. They basically bought up a bunch of SMR's and maintain that SMR's original customer base. So sometimes you get lucky.

Hmmmmm, didn't know that!

Indeed, there's a Nextel 800 MHz SMR here in Florence, and Time Warner Cable operates off of it (along with many other users that I can't positively identify because they don't use distinctive phrases like "PVR" and "Road Runner").

In a nearby area, Time Warner has its own FCC licensed frequencies. Go figure. I'd check any available SMRs for TW traffic to try to locate them, if they don't have an FCC license on hand.

The Nextel that Time Warner uses here in Ohio is the cellular phone
service with the Direct Connect feature. They do not use the SMRs here,
what very few of them are left.

Mark,

Here in SW Ohio, at last check (2002) they were on one of the 220 MHz SMR systems as they had the same type of radio my employer at the time (Medic One) had. Don't know if they're still there or not, but I know Medic One still uses the 220 MHz SMR.
