Helicopter was using Tinley's main PD dispatch frequency. K-9's brought in from other towns....including Joliet. Someone from the state police was active in the investigation too and came up on the tinley radio. They had a comms center...looked like an RV but not sure if it was county or state.

Very sad for victims, witnesses, people shopping getting caught up in this tragedy and for those families and first responders.

The real tragedy of this was this perp, who hasn't been named yet, has a previous conviction for A/R and Homicide. PD identified the suspect from security footage but didn't state how long he was in prison for. This should of never happened in the first place if IL had TX justice.

Are you certain that LE has positively identified the "perp" from "security footage"? What difference does it make how long the suspect/(perp?) was in prison for if (in fact) the suspect/(perp?) was legally released from prison? What's your definition of TX justice????

The real tragedy of this incident is that possibly innocent humans are dead.

What a horrible crime. Reminds me of the Brown's Chicken restaurant robbery and massacre.

I wish that people like this could be kept in prison forever. Too much prison resources are being used to deal with non-violent, drug-type offenders. Prison should be used for animals like whoever did this cruel crime, and they should stay there until they die.

If and when he is caught, this animal should not even be given the luxury of a prison sentence. He should be EXECUTED. He Murdered Five Innocent women Execution style.
Hopefully he will be caught quickly, and does not take as long as the brown's chicken case.

To my knowledge, they don't have any security footage of him, and the only people inside the store who saw him were all murdered. I heard that one person saw him exiting the store and they are basing their description off of that person' s memory...tragic story
