Does anyone think that Radio Shack is going to have another sale or extend this one till Christmas. They have already had 3 so far. First the Black Friday sale were both were $299. Then they had the Online Only sale for a few days which offered the 106 for $249 and the 197 for $299. Now were on the third sale which includes in-store and online for $249/$299. Will there be a forth sale?

Got it yesterday!

I bought the last one my local RS had yesterday. I already have a GRE 500 so I`m familiar with it and couldn`t resist getting one at that price.

Doug knows better than virtually anyone. Just saw that RS isn't getting the revenue they'd like so far this season along with Best Buy (surprise, surprise). Have to believe they'll try and insure that they get maximum revenue before Christmas. No guarantees for another sale but I suspect that they'll announce something by tomorrow.

Well if they drop the 197 down to $249, I may have to just run over to the shack and pick one up. :D What time do they normally make the Announcements?

I have a coupon for $25 off that I received through email, after I bought my 197. I wonder if I should go back and return it, and then buy it right back for a discount? What would you guys do? (As if I didn't know the answer to THAT one!)

Whoops... I just realized that I used a $10 coupon when I bought it. I have to weigh the $15 savings against rushing out in the rain.

My understanding is that those $25 coupons don't apply to sale items like the 106 & 197.

I have tried to use mine & other members have tried to use theirs but no go....too bad.

Their website says the $249/106 & $299/197 are only good on the web, not the stores. Guess we'll have to wait and see if the stores honor any of those prices or even have them in stock. Wish they'd make it more straight forward. And, pretty much what I figured on extending the sale when I saw that sales aren't what they want. Thanks Doug, for the hint.

They must have just added that because it didn't say web only when I checked this morning. Why do they always do web only anyway. Most users would like to drive down and pick one up if it's in stock at the local RS. This way they also buy accessories when there in the store. It should be both.

I don't see any restriction on sale prices on mine:

"*Offer valid with coupon 12/9/10–12/31/10 at participating stores only. This coupon has a unique code and is valid for one use only. Multiple printouts or photocopies will not be accepted. Limit one coupon per person. Laptop/netbook/tablet computers, Apple® products, gaming hardware/software, gift cards, services, special orders, online and phone orders excluded. May not be combined with any other coupons. No cash value. No photocopies. Void where prohibited.

RSS Instructions: Enter all merchandise to be sold in the POS System first; if ticket total is $100 or more, press the Non Merchandise key and select 8 - RadioShack Coupon. When prompted, enter the coupon dollar amount and scan (or enter) the coupon number. Complete the sale as normal."

hmm, it does seem to be a different coupon.

Mine is in-store and online. I received it after I bought my 106s and assumed it was the same.

But like you say I dont know if the $15 difference is worth it. Well it would get you 6 months of RR supscription love :)

There you go. Bang on the managers in the stores guys. You're hearing it from the horse's mouth so to speak (sorry, Doug. No reflection on you).

Those are unadvertised deals, and the you should be able to use the coupons... As long as it does not say excluding scanners, you should be able to use the coupons.
