• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Today I caught some new talkgroups on Simulcast B, and I believe the are Tolleson. My reception of Simulcast B & G is very poor from my location, so can anyone in the West Valley confirm?

Talkgroups:
4899 Dispatch
4898 Encrypted

Radio IDs were 739xxxx

If this is Tolleson, can anyone confirm if they are still using their old analog 856.2625 freq?

I heard Tolleson was going to be dispatching for El Mirage PD so in order for that to happen they would have to go on the RWC. There is no traffic on their old conventional channel.

I've been working in Tolleson all weekend and I can confirm that they are switching to the RWC. The 800 simplex channel is now dead. Also, the "town" will be using several of the 800 simplex for their communications.
