"ARC-XT PRO V1.4 and up will log detected FTO tones"
Can any one help me figure out HOW I need to set up for this ?
I must be missing a step.
I'm trying to find hard to get tone outs for Richmond County NC.
It's been a while since I did this so anyone please correct
First, you need to know the frequency they use for Tone-outs. If you don't know, an educated guess would be
158.89500.
1. Under Scanner menu, select Configuration Editor
2. Click on the "read from scanner"
3. Select the Tone Out tab.
4. Enter the tone out frequency in tone out 1
5. Make sure the tone A & B are zero
6. Click "Send to scanner"
7. Launch Virtual Control
8. On the "Jump To" select "Fire Tone out"
9. All the FTO's received will be Displayed and logged
Any tone received on the frequency will show up under Tone A and B(if 2 tone). In this mode, you will not be able to scan. Once you have found the tones of interest, you can enter the same page frequency in up to 10 positions in the config editor, each with different tones of interest. When you jump to Fire tone out, it will now only receive the tones you have selected. You will not be able to scan in the FTO mode
