is anyone in the terrebonne parish area out there listening to tpso on the latie system,i think maybe houma pd might have switched, i'm listening to a pro 2041 and there seems to be less and less to listen to. are they able to scramble or encrypt on the latie system

I did hear Terrebonne SO on the Lafayette tower a month ago and their transmissions were not encrypted. One of their units must have been in this area and its radio affiliated with the Lafayette tower. The database doesn't have any info for Houma on LATIE. If you end up getting a 700 MHz digital scanner then let us know what you find so it can be added to the database.

last night houma p.d. was still on 868.3875 sunday 1/13/08 i heard they will switch right around when the mardi gras parades start to roll in houma on friday 1/25/08 so they can communicate with t.p.s.o.

monitoring terrebonne s.o.
starting next week i will be able to monitor terrebonne s.o. as a purchased a psr-500 yesterday....can't wait to play with this new toy. i know i am in uncharted waters as it comes to digital scanning but i will probably be bald about the time i figure it out...

On Friday Night Feb. 1st during the parades I heard what appeared to be Houma PD on the LATIE system using id# 33030. Can anyone confirm this, and if so is this only for the parades or have they permitly switched to the LATIE system.

i can still hear them on analog 868.3875 as of super bowl sunday night...but didn't hear no traffic from them covering the parades so they must use latie for special assignment...didn't even hear s.o. on their analog channels that they use for the parades last year...

They have been active only during the parades. In between parades no activity.
I did hear St. Mary on LATIE today during the Morgan City parade. After the parade there was no activity with them either. This was the first time I have heard St. Mary on LATIE. I do not remember the ID#. I have heard they will be switching very soon.

let me know how your GRE psr-500 performs for the LATIE system. I am looking at purchasing one since i am no longer able to pick up Terrebonne Sherriff since they switched over. I work at Thibodaux PD and we monitor all other agencies and we need to get a reliable scanner that will pick up the new system. Also where did you purchase the scanner and how much if you dont mine me asking?
