I saw the traffic lights over behind Tanger (and elsewhere) have small yagi antennas on them.

Has anyone seen these??? I know there are Infrared receivers on lights for police and fire to get a green.

These seem to point to the other lights in the area on Grand Blvd so I assume they send rf back and fourth to keep traffic moving. What freqs or range do traffic lights operate on???

This is a statewide forum Could you provide a more precise location as to where you see these. County, City, Town, etc.

900MHz, and your assumption is correct, it is to sync the lights for traffic flow

This type of light control is being used in many parts of the country. If you follow the direction
of all the yagi antennas at the different lights, it should take you to the master station light
controller that will have an omni stick. This central control point allows the other lights to
share the traffic flow and allow for timing adjustments to be made by the master controller
to keep the flow of traffic moving. It allows for time to be taken from the intersections that
are not busy and loan this borrowed time to be applied to the more busy intersections. It
all happens in real time without a human intervention to screw it up.

Lol Well my info states I am in East Farmingdale NY (Long Island) so it would be close to me (Deer Park) Where are you from? Your info does not state your location at all.
