I haven't been on here in quite some time, but I'm getting ready to fly to Orlando in two days, and I was wondering if anyone has any advice when it comes to traveling with a ham radio. It's a Baofeng UV-5RM, so it's a nice size, but if anyone has tips on traveling with it, let me know!

Nothing special. Put it in your carry-on luggage and carry it on board. The lithium ion batteries are no longer allowed in checked baggage.

Pre-program the radio with chirp. Its a lot easier to program with chirp than by the key board.

I'd also remove the battery from the radio.

OK what did I miss? The OP says "flying to Orlando". Pretty sure that's in Florida.
