Traveling Thru South Dakota - Need Freqs

Can anyone help a country boy from Montana? Don't answer that!

We will be traveling thru SD in two or three weeks and would like to get most active statewide/local frequencies.

We will enter the state on I-90 near Sioux Falls and proceeding westbound to Spearfish. At that point the GPS indicates we then turn north to Belle Fourche and hit Hwy 212 (?). Probably better to stay on I-90, don't you think?

I'm not familiar with the counties we will pass through, so if you don't have freqs, I would take a list of counties so I can download from RR.

Using BCD996XT w/ GPS. - If you know of scanner restrictions, please inform. Interested in Police / Fire / Hiway Patrol / Forestry

almost everything of value worth listening to will be on the statewide digital system.
the only scanner restriction is your supposed to have a ham license.

I've been on hwy 212 into Montana, nice drive...
depending on where you are going to in Montana
this route is usually quicker than through Wyoming.

thanks for visiting our state! besure to stop at wall drug for some coffee and water. Yes you have seen the signs all the way. Worth the stop just to get out and stretch.

B-mit. Yes do program your scanner for the digital system very active from 7am to 9 pm then the normal quiet chatter at night.

lots of aircraft above criss-crossing the nation as you get closer to sioux falls. Once in awhile you will hear a aircraft emergency too.
