Nice job guys. It's definitely looking up.

Sites 20/31 are down south -- Bloomington / French Lick / Borden / Bedford area - with 20 probably being Bloomington or Bedford and 31 probably being French Lick, Bedford or Borden. All guesses purely based upon site neighbor reports.

The pesky 454 mhz sites should prove frustrating to ID.

Do we have any of the KY, OH, IL stuff locked in on this one yet? I know we have the 1 CAP+ 800 in KY locked.. It also has at last one ISSI link, or patch to the CON+ system.

I do believe there are sites down in the Tri State Corner area, possibly near the the middle of state Line IN/OH area? And also along the IL/IN border?
I will look in the FCC data just to see...
But if they set this up like the Comm South COMNet is down down in MS, they have sites just outside the state for fill in along the borders.
EDIT
SO far in OH all I find is that huge P and R system which looks like its the Ohio version lol.
And NADA in IL....
So this is right now an KY and IN system unless one of those other companies in OH or IL is affiliated with ERS OCI Wireless.

Th placement of certain sites gives coverage into those states, but I find no licenses for Emergency Radio Service, Emergency Radio Sales and Service or the like.

This lic puts a site near the KY/OH border...
https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?fccCallsign=WPUN778
https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?fccCallsign=WQBS995
That could be a CAP+ site of the system which is combining both the CAP+ and CON+ into one system per the official TRBOConnect site.

Louisville/Fairdale UHF...
WQWJ589
WQVY846
The 800 is well documented...
Owensboro and Bowling Green sites
https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?fccCallsign=WQRI374

If that near Cinci site, and the Bowling Green site are both online, that gives good coverage almost completely across North KY and Southern tip of IN,.. and into Cinci.

Well, I'm square in the middle of P & R territory, with their main site about 15 miles up the road from my QTH.... The Richmond ERS site is the closest one to Ohio in my immediate area... so far, I have heard no "outsiders" on any of the P & R sites. .....

Little more info...

@ milf,

I believe the two sites you referenced above are this system:

https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=9723

I have caught traffic several times, during band openings, from my location.... I know for a fact that Site 3 (Taylor Mill) is active and uses the 461.0250 (LCN 1) with a Color Code of 5 (WPUN778). Another gentleman in the area there has been "working" that system, as well... All traffic I have caught has been for AMR with TG's in the teens....

I can receive site #4 the best however trying to pinpoint anything in the FCC database hasn't gone so well. The control is 454.425 mhz however nothing returns in the database when I run that frequency.

I've identified several voice channels that ID as site 4 but it would be nice to have a full fcc list to work off of.

Just as quick reminder... Which county were you getting the best signal from Site 4 in? I can do a search in a expanding area from that...

Eastern noble county. I can actually receive sites 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 with decent signal, #4 being the strongest.

There is no way to give you a full list to work off of it we do not know the location of Site 4. And, since the current Site 4 CC is on 454 paging spectrum, there is a chance that some/all of the other frequencies on that site are also 454 paging spectrum. And if that is the case, you won't find the location on licenses because paging licenses are based upon market area (which is a really wide swath).

Here are the FCC licenses for sites up North. Any one of these sites could be site 4. Or site 4 could be a totally different site altogether with no FCC license to identify it.

What frequencies have you identified for Site 4 already ?

Check out this Google Map: https://goo.gl/kyDJeK
- ERS licenses in IN/KY

If you find Wabash on a map and then draw a straight horizontal line from east to west indiana, through Wabash, sites 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 are all above that line.

I don't know how Angola was determined to be site 5 since it's a 454 mhz frequency. Since I don't know how it was determined to be Angola, I would consider Site 5 to be "iffy" in the DB.

The voice channels I thought were site #4 were actually related to the nxdn system milf just asked about.. I'm not sure how I got that mixed up. Anyway I did ID three associated with site #3. I was getting ESG security indianapolis ops 2.

461.175
461.450
463.800

Oddly enough I haven't located any VC's that come in as site 4. They would be pretty strong I would think and none have shown up.

As far as I can ID em, that is ESG,.. At least what they use for non ICC/LOS stuff. Lately I am wavering on the EMS ones.. I am actually starting to think what was originally ID as AMR out of St Vincents... Is SEALS now. Though its tricky as both AMR and SEALS procedures and how they refer to units are nearly identical. I will have to see if I can monitor this one a lot more.. And if I hear a lot of Greenwood and Johnson County stuff will know its SEALS as AMR has pulled out of JC completely and that is SEALS baby.

By my calculations, there might be one more site active in the north than there are FCC-licensed locations that make sense. So there might be at least one site using exclusively 454 mhz frequencies, and that site may or may not be a location with any site-specific FCC license to identify it. Look at site 2 in the DB -- 3 454 mhz frequencies noted. One has to wonder if there are any non-454 mhz frequencies on Site 2.

I don't have a clue who uses the ERS system, but on the wide-area systems here in Ohio many of the sites become very silent over the weekend. Business hours M-F are usually the best time to expect to find activity. Site 4 already has two 454 mhz frequencies listed for it in the DB. Maybe that site is using additional 454 mhz frequencies, or maybe it's a small site with only two frequencies (which still leaves 3 simultaneous talkpaths).

C_snyder: You say you are able to copy Site 3 (which sounds to me like Fort Wayne based upon your previous posting). There is not a neighbor list for Site 3 in the DB. Are you able to get a site neighbor list for Site 3?

Site 4 control channel this morning is now on 454.100 whereas yesterday it was on 454.425. Sites 3 and 5 control channels have disappeared. Sites 1 and 2 are active though.

Here is what I can gather this morning

Site 4 Neighbors

127-2
127-3
127-5

Site 1 Neighbors

127-2
127-3
127-4
127-6
127-8

Site 2 Neighbors

Users... Everyone from Farmers, to Waste Management, Event Radio Rentals... A lot of security companies, at least 2 ALS/BLS EMS companies, at least 2 non emergency Ambulance companies, a major manufacturer, taxi cabs, tow trucks, 3 landscapers, at least 3 construction companies, Anderson University, at least one concrete company, multiple trucking/shipping companies.... Oh and the ERS OCI organization which does most of the Motorola Solutions work in IN.

Thank you.

Purely some crazy speculation on my part, but I'm leaning towards -- keeping in mind I'm from East Ohio and only am paying attention to this system because I like mapping out stuff.

Site 2: A site with no ERS license at the location - perhaps somewhere around Lagrange
Site 3: Fort Wayne
Site 4: Auburn
Site 5: Angola -- IF Site 4 is Auburn
Site 6: Goshen -- IF Site 4 is Auburn and Site 5 is Angola
Site 8: Warsaw

And if CCs for 3/5 have disappeared, you probably picked them up during some tropospheric ducting -- which would make sense if Site 3 was Fort Wayne and Site 5 was Angola. And if that was actually the case, it would make sense that you would still pick up site 4 (if it were Auburn), site 1 and Site 2 (if it were somewhere north of you).

If neighbors were known for sites 3 and 6, that would likely help pin things down further.

Mike
